Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 15 oz whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the sheet pan. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles followed by half of the cheese mixture and then half of the remaining marinara sauce.
- Add another layer of noodles, then repeat with remaining cheese mixture and marinara sauce. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
- Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing. Drizzle with extra marinara sauce if desired and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
