Description

Indulge in a savory Truffle & Mushroom Tart featuring a flaky crust and rich, creamy filling. Perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought)
  • 2 cups mixed mushrooms (cremini and shiitake), chopped
  • 2 tablespoons truffle oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Let the puff pastry soften slightly at room temperature.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it into a tart pan, pressing firmly against the edges, and trim any excess pastry.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and truffle oil.
  5. Once mushrooms have cooled slightly, fold them into the cream mixture.
  6. Pour the mushroom filling into the prepared pastry shell, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
