Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil a large pot of salted water.
  2. 2. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned but juicy. Remove from skillet and let it rest.
  5. 5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low.
  6. 6. Melt butter and add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  7. 7. Stir in red pepper flakes, followed by heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  8. 8. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  9. 9. Slice the rested steak into strips.
  10. 10. Toss cooked pasta with the sauce and steak slices in the skillet until well coated.
  11. 11. Plate your pasta and steak beautifully, drizzling extra sauce on top if desired.
