Description

Gingerbread Latte Mousse Domes are a delightful winter treat, combining creamy mousse with warm spices for a festive dessert that’s perfect for cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup molasses (unsulfured)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. Measure all ingredients, ensuring the heavy cream is cold.
  2. In a small bowl, combine gelatin with 2 tbsp cold water and let it bloom for about five minutes.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix molasses, instant coffee, ground ginger, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined and sugar dissolves.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved. Allow to cool slightly.
  5. In a large bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the cooled coffee-spice mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined.
  7. Transfer mousse into silicone dome molds or small cups, smoothing the tops with a spatula.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours or overnight before serving.
