- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup roasted hazelnuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually add flour and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press mixture into tart pans evenly and poke holes with a fork.
- Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs until frothy; stir in melted chocolate and finely chopped hazelnuts.
- Pour this filling into each cooled tart shell.
- Return tarts to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until set but still slightly wobbly in the center.
- Allow to cool completely before removing from pans. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
