- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sear the chicken for about five minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer for three minutes.
- Add chopped thyme and rosemary to the sauce, stirring to combine.
- Return seared chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about twenty-five minutes or until chicken is cooked through (165°F or 75°C). Serve with drizzled sauce.
