Description

Experience the nostalgia of the holidays with these melt-in-your-mouth cookies, perfect for festive gatherings or cozy moments at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture into the wet ingredients while mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Scoop and Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets spaced about two inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  6. Cool Down: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
