Description

Savor the delicious combination of tender, juicy ribs and tangy sauerkraut, creating a comforting meal perfect for gatherings or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef ribs
  • 1 jar (32 oz) high-quality sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef stock or broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Sear the Ribs: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Season the beef ribs generously with salt and pepper. Sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Layer the Ingredients: In a large baking dish, spread the sliced onions at the bottom. Place seared ribs on top. Pour drained sauerkraut evenly over the ribs, followed by minced garlic and beef stock until covered.
  4. Cover and Cook: Tightly cover the baking dish with aluminum foil or a lid. Cook in the preheated oven for about 2 hours.
  5. Broil for Crispiness: After two hours, remove from the oven and take off the cover. Switch your oven to broil and return the dish uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until crispy.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Let the dish rest for five minutes before serving. Drizzle sauce from the pan over the ribs as desired.
