Description

Indulge in this tender and flavorful Slow Cooker Smoky Pulled Beef, perfect for satisfying sandwiches or hearty meals. Minimal prep ensures it’s a crowd-pleaser for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chuck roast and cut it into manageable pieces. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil. Sauté the sliced onions and minced garlic until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ketchup, smoked paprika, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well to blend.
  4. Place seasoned beef chunks in the slow cooker. Pour the sautéed onion-garlic mixture over them followed by the sauce blend. Stir gently to coat.
  5. Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4 hours until fork-tender.
  6. Remove beef from the slow cooker and shred using two forks. Serve on toasted buns with coleslaw or enjoy as is.
