Description

Snowman Donut Holes are festive, bite-sized treats that are soft, fluffy, and adorably decorated, perfect for adding cheer to any holiday gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Chocolate chips (for eyes and buttons)
  • Fruit leather or fondant (for scarves)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt. In another bowl, combine milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined.
  2. In a deep pan or Dutch oven, pour oil to a depth of about two inches. Heat over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  3. Using a small cookie scoop or two spoons, drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. While still warm but not hot, roll each donut hole in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Use chocolate chips for eyes and buttons. Cut tiny pieces of fruit leather or fondant for scarves to complete their look.
  6. Arrange your snowman donut holes on a festive platter for your holiday gathering.
