Description

Tater Tot Casserole with Cream of Mushroom Soup is a creamy, satisfying dish topped with crispy tater tots, perfect for family dinners or potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (low-sodium preferred)
  • 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and diced onion. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef and onion with cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Layer the Casserole: Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Layer frozen tater tots on top as desired.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the tater tots.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until tater tots are crispy and golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
