Description

Savor the delightful fusion of sweet and savory with this Teriyaki Miso Cod served alongside vibrant, tender broccoli. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or to impress guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp white miso paste
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish by lightly greasing it with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Place cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Let them marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, spread out the broccoli florets. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. After marinating, place cod on another parchment-lined baking sheet alongside the broccoli. Drizzle remaining marinade over everything. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until cod is flaky and broccoli is tender-crisp.
  6. Plate the cod and broccoli beautifully, drizzling any leftover sauce over the top for extra flavor.

Keywords: For variety, consider substituting cod with salmon or tilapia. Add sesame seeds for crunch or red pepper flakes for heat. Make sure not to overcook the fish; it should flake easily yet remain moist.
